About the Red Lion

The Red Lion on Elm Road in Penn can be your favourite, refreshing stop on a walk around the commons, the perfect spot for a Sunday Roast, a meeting point for mid-week coffee and cake and much much more.


Whether you’re in the mood to sample some of our local real ales, one of over 20 different gins or you’re just taking us up on our half price Prosecco Thursdays, there aren’t many better settings to accompany your tipple.

Overlooking the village pond since the 16th century, The Red Lion is steeped in history, dripping in charm and full of friendly faces.

Our two log burners make it a cosy winter warmer whether you’re meeting friends for food, drink or both, while in the summer months our idyllic garden makes us the go-to venue for sun chasers.

With carefully sourced fresh food prepared in house coupled with attentive friendly service, there’s no reason not to give us a call and book a table for brunch, lunch or dinner.
